A torrential rain warning remains in force in Mauritius until 10pm this evening. The weather station indicated in its bulletin issued at midday that atmospheric conditions remain humid and unstable, favorable to the formation of active clouds on the island.
Thunderstorms are still forecast in the evening. Showers will become less frequent late tonight. The sky will be partly overcast tomorrow morning, becoming cloudy at times with showers, especially on the heights.
Practical advice :
In the event of heavy thunderstorms, it is recommended:
* to stay sheltered and avoid the plains, hikes, sea trips and not to take shelter under trees.
* avoid places subject to accumulations of water.
* to be very careful on the roads due to reduced visibility in showers and fog.
