Teeruthraj Hurdoyal, popularly known as Vikram Hurdoyal, was removed from the post of Minister of Agribusiness and Food Safety this evening. No official reason for his dismissal has been given so far. According to our findings, he has been accused of being “unfaithful” to the government for some time.
Vikram Hurdoyal was elected first member of constituency No.10 (Montagne-Blanche/Grande-Rivière-Sud-Est) during the legislative elections of November 2019. Elected under the banner of the MSM, this resident of Trou-d'Eau Douce had run for office in this same constituency five years earlier as a candidate for the “Youth Awakening” platform.
