A Class 1 cyclone warning is maintained in Mauritius. The second cyclone bulletin was issued at 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday. At 4 p.m., Moderate Tropical Storm Eleanor was centered about 690 km north of Mauritius, near latitude 14.0 degrees south and longitude 59.0 degrees east. It is moving slowly in a general eastward direction at about 10 km/h.

The consultant of the Vacoas weather station, Prem Goolaup, explains that according to numerical models, Eleanor will move towards the south-southwest in its new trajectory, thus presenting a direct threat to Mauritius. The scenario closest to Maurice takes shape from Thursday evening until Friday morning.

He points out that if Eleanor continues to intensify, the weather station plans to issue a class 2 cyclone alert tomorrow morning at 4:10 a.m.
