LIVE NEWS

A fairly strong anticyclone south of the Mascarenes causes rather windy and cold weather in our region. Clouds coming from the south will influence the local weather during the day, indicates the weather station in its bulletin issued this Thursday morning.

The weather is partly overcast this morning with showers on the heights. The sky will be mostly cloudy during the day with occasional showers. Showers will be more frequent and could sometimes be moderate on the southern half of the island and on the central plateau.

The maximum temperature will be below average and will vary between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius on the coast.

Cloudy periods are expected overnight with passing showers mainly in the east, south and on the central plateau.

The minimum temperature will vary between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius in the coastal regions.

The wind is blowing from the southeast at around 30 km/h with gusts of around 60 km/h in exposed areas.

The sea is rough beyond the reefs, with waves reaching 3 meters. Outings on the high seas, as well as in the Eastern and Southern lagoons, are not recommended.
