11 young people killed compared to five last year during this same period
The number of deaths on our roads between January 1, 2024 and April 25, 2024 stands at 43 in 39 recorded accident cases.
On Wednesday April 24, Jordan Fanfan, 17, died in his hospital bed, after a motorcycle accident that occurred on Friday April 19 in Roche-Bois.
Furthermore, after an accident between two motorcycles and a bus in Bel Étang in the East, Thursday evening, motorcyclists Bilal Hosany, 18 years old, resident of Montagne-Blanche, and Yohan Kumar Bundhoo, 16 years old, resident of Mont-Ida, lost his life. The latter died on the night of Thursday to Friday, while Bilal Hosany died instantly.
The number of young victims (under 25 years old) has more than doubled this year, compared to 2023, i.e. 11 young people died compared to five last year during this same period. Here is an overview of the number of victims on our roads since the start of this year, including 22 motorcyclists and a rear passenger.
