“At the Returning Dawn” marks Francis Cabrel’s fourteenth studio opus. As part of his world tour “Trobador Tour”, the artist will perform on stage in Mauritius. The event will take place on Sunday October 20, 2024 at the Trianon Convention Center. Art Fm & BAO Comm, in partnership with GCP and Chandelle Productions, are presenting the concert.

An essential figure in French song since the end of the 1970s, Francis Cabrel counts among his flagship albums successes such as “Les Chemins de traverse” (1979), “Sarbacane” (1989), and “ Samedi Soir Sur La Terre” ( 1994). His timeless songs such as “I love him to death”, “Petite Marie” and “La corrida” have left their mark on several generations and continue to touch the hearts of music lovers.

At the age of 68, Francis Cabrel remains an undisputed icon of French music.

With a half-century of musical career behind him, Francis Cabrel boasts an impressive track record of nearly 25 million albums sold. His fourteenth opus, “At the Dawn Revenant”, released on October 16, 2020, illustrates his constant artistic evolution. Composed of thirteen tracks, the album is part of the troubadour tradition, an approach matured over five years. At the age of 68, Francis Cabrel remains an undisputed icon of French music, a legend whose influence endures.

His story begins when he is 19 years old. His second album, “Les Chemins de traverse” (1979), propelled him to the firmament thanks to the emblematic single “Je l'aime à mort”, sold more than 700,000 copies. Renowned for his crafted lyrics and romantic ballads, Francis Cabrel is also distinguished by his admiration for Bob Dylan, whom he celebrated by releasing an album of covers in 2012.
