The Police Officers Solidarity Union (POSU) is speaking out against the decision of Central Barracks to pay the special allowance for police officers working on Sundays to only those working on the Shift system.

This announcement was made by the Prime Minister last January.

According to POSU, this goes against the announcement of Pravind Jugnauth, who according to the union, had affirmed that all police officers working on Sundays would be paid double.

They intend to call on the authorities concerned to remedy this situation.

For their part, the Central Barracks reassure that all eligible police officers will soon be paid and directives have already been given so that the formalities are carried out concerning eligible police officers.

Returns must have the signature of the Divisional Commanders and other unit leaders.
