QuestionsTourism-AdviceHotel advice for first time visitors
Anonymous asked 11 months ago
We would greatly appreciate any advice for our upcoming trip to Mauritius in June/July next year. We are a couple in our early 50s, and we are looking for a destination that offers sun, beautiful beaches, snorkelling, and a variety of restaurants that serve good food rather than buffet-style dinners. We have read that it is best to avoid the east and south regions during that time, so we would like to know if the area from Turtle Bay to Lux Grand Gaube would be suitable for us. Additionally, we would appreciate any recommendations for all-inclusive hotels in the 4 to 5-star range that meet our preferences. Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Mauritius is also home to two UNESCO World Heritage sites - the first is Aapravasi Ghat, where Indian labourers were brought over by the Britishers to work on the sugarcane plantations. The name translates to immigration depot. The second World Heritage Site - Mont Le Morne Brabant was once a sanctuary for the slaves who escaped their master's oppressive rule in the 18th and early 19th centuries. This mountain is a popular trekking destination and can provide trekkers with views of a lifetime.
