In anticipation of bad weather, the police, the Special Mobile Force, the National Coast Guard and the firefighters were mobilized in places at risk to prepare for any eventuality. This is according to a press release from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Center this afternoon.
Concerning Port-Louis, motorists are asked to avoid parking in risky areas such as underground car parks, as well as in streets such as rue La Poudrière and La Chaussée. It is also recommended not to park along the Pouce stream.
If the weather deteriorates further, the police could put in place a diversion plan in the capital.
