A 33-year-old company director was arrested following an operation by the anti-drug squad yesterday. The sleuths discovered 589 grams of cannabis in his car. They then searched the home of this resident of Medina, Camp de Masque, where they discovered Rs 2.7 million in a suitcase, as well as an electronic scale.
The amount found is suspected of coming from drug trafficking. Placed in detention, the suspect will be brought before court this afternoon.
The operation was led by Detective Inspector Balamba.
