Wanted for knocking down two pedestrians last Sunday in Riche-Terre, a 33-year-old man was arrested yesterday, Tuesday July 3.

On June 30, two Malagasy men, aged 27 and 33 respectively, were found on the side of the road with multiple injuries.

They are currently admitted to intensive care at the Northern Hospital.

During an operation by the Force Criminal Intelligence Unit (FCIU) in Bagatelle, the driver was apprehended.

During his interrogation, the Tamarin resident admitted that he was driving the car that hit the two victims.

He explained that he fled because he was panicked. The suspect was taken into police custody.
The investigation is continuing.
