This Friday, June 28, 2024, Princeley Steeve Serret, alias Polocco, (photo) will be brought before the court. He will be provisionally charged with robbery with violence, attempted murder and use of an explosive device, among other offenses for which he was wanted.
This repeat offender was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Flacq on the afternoon of Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Poste-de-Flacq, after several months on the run. Inspector Seebnauth's men from the Flacq CID nabbed him during an operation supervised by Superintendent of Police Vikash Babajee.
In recent weeks, police teams from the Eastern Division, together with police Intelligence Cells, have carried out meticulous work on the ground. They eventually spotted the car he was traveling in. They followed her. Polocco was arrested. He didn't resist. He had in his possession a large quantity of jewelry. Suspected of having been stolen, they were placed under seal.
Polocco had been wanted for at least four offences since early 2024. In March, he broke into his brother's home in Pointe-aux-Sables and stabbed him. He also ransacked the premises.
