Euro-2024: England eliminates Slovakia after extra time (2-1) and joins Switzerland in the quarterfinals

England, who equalized after regulation time, qualified for the quarter-finals of the Euro against Switzerland by eliminating Slovakia 2-1 after extra time on Sunday in Gelsenkirchen.

Ivan Schranz (25th) opened the scoring for Slovakia but England equalized through Jude Bellingham (90+5), before Harry Kane scored the winning goal at the very start of extra time (91st). England, finalist of the previous edition, and Switzerland, victorious on Saturday over defending champion Italy, will face each other on July 6 in Düsseldorf (8 p.m.).
