Opposition leader Arvin Boolell is calling for Prakash Maunthrooa to be suspended or dismissed.
“It is not right for Prakash Manthrooa to continue in his post if there is an internal inquiry,” the opposition leader said at a press conference this afternoon. According to him, the CWA director cannot continue in his post during an internal inquiry.
Arvin Boolell returned to his Private Notice Question (PNQ) this morning, noting that the CWA's Chief Internal Auditor was forced to resign after submitting her Compliance Report on the pipe replacement program.
The Red MP also mentioned some key findings of the internal audit.
