“She was a jovial child who enjoyed life to the fullest.” These words from the uncle of little Ashiva Bundhooa, 15 months old, who was fatally hit by the taxi driven by her grandfather, describe the joy that the little girl represented within the family.

In a statement to RadioPlus this Friday, June 28, Ashish Bundhooa returns to the circumstances of this tragedy. The little girl had rushed to see her grandfather arrive. She left the house and that is when the drama took place.

The victim's uncle appeals to parents: “one second of inattention can have disastrous consequences.”

The grandfather was arrested on Wednesday, June 26. He will answer to a provisional charge of involuntary manslaughter this Friday, June 28. He explained to the police that he did not see the little girl. While he was driving his vehicle and accessing the garage, she suddenly appeared. And he could not avoid her.
