The facts happened yesterday. An employee of the Ministry of the Environment was arrested with 505 grams of cannabis in his possession.

It was during an anti-drug squad operation.

Aged 29, the suspect, who had been in the sights of the sleuths for some time, had in his possession two packages containing this drug estimated at more than Rs 600,000.

He will be brought before the Rose-Hill court this Wednesday.

The operation was led by Chief Inspector Luckmun of the Adsu of St-Pierre.
